Silvermoon Guardians

So! you have decided to become a Guardian Initiate! Here is a little information on the processes involved in becoming and maintaining your status as a Guardian and going beyond!

Firstly you have to apply to the guild by clicking the "Join SMG" button in the top right corner of our web page. Read it and familiarize yourself well with all the rules and regulations that are written there.

Once once you are comfortable with all the information and can remember it, click on the button at the bottom of that page and fill in your application.

You need to be at least 18 years old or have a parent/sponsor in the guild to monitor your activity. If you are a parent asking to allow your child into the guild please be aware that some guild chat can be inappropriate for children.

You also need to be level 60 or above OR have a guild member sponsor you.

Initially you will be considered an "Initiate" for a 4 week period. This 4 week period is your chance to shine and show us that you are a team player. We don't expect much more than you to pop on every once in a while and say hello, ask questions, enjoy the company and participate in any of the guild activities that you can. Everyone understands that real life comes before WoW and if you are unable to be active during your 4 week period you can send the Master Guardian (guildmaster) or any of the Elder Guardians (officers) a request for extension of your trial. During the 4 weeks, your class advisor should contact you to get to know you a little better and to assess any needs you might have. This is a great time to learn more about us and to get help.


Website access: Once you apply to the guild via the website you can check back on your application status by visiting the website and checking your mail.
If you are not granted full web access after your guild invite send Rainfaerie a web based mail to remind her.

After about 4 active weeks in good standing the Master Guardian or one of the other officers will ask you if you are interested in remaining in SMG as a full member. If you are interested in remaining in the guild you will be given one of 3 results...

1. Guardianship - You become a full fledged Guardian! Congrats!!

2. Extension - You will be informed of an extension of your initiate status to either observe you further or give you more time to get familiar with the guild. If you had problems during your initiate period another week of observation may clear up any doubts the Officers may have about you. You may also request an extension of your initiate status if YOU are unsure.

3. Dismissal - If conflicts arise during your 4 weeks and the issues could not be resolved or if you were inactive, you will be informed of the decision to terminate your status in the guild.

Be aware that during your four week trial you can be terminated by an Officer for any reason. This is to be used sparingly but firmly.

The goal of our guild is to grow and maintain a pool of active friendly players that assist each other and can play together fairly. SMG focuses on endgame content and has a large pool of level 80s working hard to master the endgame world. WoW is a team oriented game. You cannot run instances by yourself, so learning how to function in a group is imperative to your success! Welcome to the family and let us know if we can help.
