I just wanted to say hi and thank you all for bringing Hardoc back into SMG.

His mother wrote me recently and this is what she had to say (she cried when she was told Hardoc was no longer in his beloved SMG)

"wow, it is so good to hear from you, I was so happy and relieved. I'm sorry to hear about how sick you were, that was what I was afraid of. What great news about Hardoc! (EDITED). It' s exciting about Hardoc being back with his original guild members. I've written down all the members that had signed on his website and still plan on sending them all an email. I will never forgot their compassion and love they showed us, the flowers you all sent to him. It is truly amazing what wonderful people do exist out in cyber space.

I'm coping better these days but it is still a struggle. It is so difficult to do anything that involves his stuff, I was organizing our front hall closet and going through so much stuff, some things from when he was a kid and through his illness and from his funeral. I just wailed and wailed so loud. It was a good thing I was alone, my husband gets so upset when I cry. It makes him feel so helpless I guess.

All I know is that I miss him with every inch of my heart and soul. I look at his picture and just shake my head because I can't till this day believe he's not still here with us. It's unimaginable!!! Candice, thanks so much for writing I am so happy you're doing better and I will tell Ryon all about what's happening (I'm sure he already knows).I sure he is so grateful for what you've done with Hardoc. I will pray for continued healing for you and a better year in "09". You are so much like Ryon, so tough-going through so much and still keeping a great attitude. You're amazing! I can't thank you all enough for thinking so highly of my son. Thanks again for keeping in touch. Ry's Mom-Dolores"

Again thank you and I hope to see you all in game soon. Sincerely, Ashefield

Thank you for posting that, I know it means a lot to me to know that Hardoc is back in his rightful place, and I'm glad to know that we are bringing his mother a bit of comfort by doing so.

When I get half a brain together I'll email you, because I know both Lare and I are horrible at the communication thing. Hope everything is going better.

*hugs*

For those who don't know, Hardoc was one of the earliest members of this guild. He travelled with the guild across the realms. The character was a tank, one of our original ones. The player behind Hardoc had an illness and eventually passed away. We had a memorial for him in the Stormwind chapel, to which most SMG members at the time showed up.

He was my online friend and as his illness prohibited him from enjoying a lot of things in life, he loved this guild very much and has become our symbol.

Jus checking in.

I am a bit slower to get Hardoc where he needs to because I am still going through chemo myself and weeks will pass on my part with no playing. His mom was kind enough to understand that.

But I do have the following done on him:

1. his fast land mount has been bought.
2. I have generated enough money on him (mining etc) that he has enough for his bird mount.

Working on:

3. the last final stretch to 70
4. the money needed to train him (I think my son who plays on The Scryers has me covered there so not really worried

Hardoc was a special person. I miss him a lot. It will be a sad day for me when he hit's 70 and flys off oh his bird.
